Utility Lineman
If you have experience as a Utility Lineman, or you’re ready to grow into a role with greater responsibility, Capital Technologies is hiring Utility Linemen to support our construction and field service operations.
Our linemen play a critical role in building, maintaining, and repairing utility infrastructure, ensuring safe and reliable service while keeping our projects moving efficiently in the field.
What Class A Utility Lineman Do
Depending on project needs, Utility Linemen may:
- Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade overhead and underground utility systems

Set poles, run lines, and assist with the construction of new utility infrastructure

Troubleshoot outages and perform service restoration in a safe and timely manner

Read and interpret blueprints, staking sheets, and system maps

Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other specialized equipment

Follow all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and adherence to company procedures

Coordinate with supervisors, crews, and other trades to keep projects on schedule

Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

Assist with general job site tasks and support overall field operations as needed

Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of tools, equipment, and vehicles
